Thanksgiving is a time to remember and thank God for all of His many blessings to us. A tangible way to respond to our thankfulness is through blessing others. This Thanksgiving season brings with it an opportunity to give financially to the ministry of Good Works. Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Christ Community Church partners with Good Works. This Sunday we are receiving a special Thanksgiving Offering to benefit this valuable ministry. Good Works is a nonprofit organization based in Coatesville to serve low-income homeowners in Chester County. Established in 1988, Good Works extends God’s love to families living in substandard housing, to make their homes warmer, safer, and drier, and to turn despair into hope. Their goal is to see the inhabitants of these homes rise above their level of poverty and experience a richness through being cared for and knowing they matter to their community. Checks should be made payable to Christ Community Church. You may use the Special Offering envelope or your regular giving envelope and make the appropriate notations on the front of the envelope (adding Good Works in the Other box).
