By now, you probably know that Christ Community is implementing a ministry model called HomePointe. HomePointe is an innovative approach to ministry that helps churches create a culture of intentionality concerning 'faith at home'.  Regardless of whether you are a student, a young adult, single, married, have children or you are an empty nester - you have a home.  And faith at home is what HomePointe is all about.

Recently, Jim, Dick and I took a trip to Dallas, Texas and Savannah, Georgia.  In Dallas, we visited Lake Pointe Church - the church that created HomePointe.  In Savannah, we visited a church that has adopted and implemented HomePointe in a similar way to Christ Community.  This trip provided us with an up close view of HomePointe.  We met with others who share the same key value that Christ Community does - faith in your home. 

Study after study concludes that while we currently have more resources and creative ideas to communicate the Christian faith, the actual expression of that faith, in the home, decreases. However, according to the Scriptures, the expression of faith at home most influentially predicts whether faith will be passed on to the next generation, or not.  Also, the expression of faith in your home paints the most accurate picture of your personal, spiritual health.
