 From our recent HomeLife survey, we know that finances is one of the leading causes of stress for many families or individuals in our church. For this reason we are delighted to host "Journey To True Financial Freedom," created by Crown Financial, a leading ministry that trains individuals and families in how to apply Biblical principles to finances. On Saturday, November 14th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in our main lobby, this one day seminar will provide a lifetime of great understanding of money matters. Highlights of this one day experience includes: - Establish a workable, personal financial plan - Learn to live debt-free - Make financial decisions according to God's principles - Detect the "hazards" that lead to financial problems - Discern wrong attitudes and worry caused by a lack of planning or understanding of finances. I know this Guy Who… - Mondays 7:30 pm at Christ Community (Chapel) - Join Dan Gottwerth, one of our most gifted teachers and illustrators, as he leads men through a series called "I know this Guy Who…." Each week we complete the sentence: I know this guy who…no longer is in love with his wife, has everything but still isn't happy, has a stubborn habit, can't get spiritually disciplined, and so on. Each week, teaching and discussion in the chapel gives each guy a new spiritual boost! Don't miss this one! We all face critical issues as Men, and yet we serve a God who cares deeply about the issues we face. The Bible is God's gift to guide us in our day-to-day struggles. Join us on Monday nights to discuss Biblical solutions to problems guys face. We have a preliminary line-up but are open to more topics and suggestions as we continue to meet together. Our time will inclue a lively, honest and sometimes humorous teaching time followed by some quality discussion time. You are welcome to join at any time!

True North - Fridays 6:30 am at Christ Community (Main Lobby) - It seems like daily somone is coming out with yet another guide for getting through this jungle of life. Hundreds of voices offering advice, pointing directions and each one is claiming that their program is the way. How can anyone sort it out? Who do you believe? How do you know which one is right and true? There actually is a way to safely navigate life. First, we need to get our bearings. To find out exactly where we are we need a reference point. We must establish True North. Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life…" He is True North! Join Rick Bollinger and Gary Schmidt as we open the Bible, get our bearings and learn to travel life's journey His way. |
